Full Name Required
There has been a change in the Kentucky Revised Statutes. Beginning July 15, 2016, all deeds must provide the "full name" of the parties or the Clerk's offices can reject them and prevent them from being recorded. See HB 422 and KRS 382.135
Currently, we don't know how the legislators define "full name". We are requesting clarification of this law and will be keep you posted on the outcome. However, in the meantime, would be a good idea to include the first, middle (or middle initial) and last name on the contract and loan application so that all documents are cohesive. This will help everyone get the closing completed in the most efficient way.
